Bonnie grew up in a military family. Moving a lot. Her one constant was her love for animals. She knew she wanted her future career to involve working with animals.
Bonnie graduated from the Veterinary Assistant program at Robertson College in Winnipeg Manitoba in 2004. She worked at an animal hospital in Winnipeg as an assistant before moving to Ottawa where she worked as a veterinary surgical assistant.
Bonnie moved back to Nova Scotia in 2005. She started working at a veterinary hospital that trained her as a veterinary technician. Bonnie has been working as a technician ever since gaining knowledge and skills that allowed her to be grandfathered in as a Registered Veterinary Technician in 2016.
Bonnie spends most weekends working at the Metro Animal Emergency clinic where she has worked part time since 2010.
When not working Bonnie enjoys spending time with her dogs; Brian, Patrick O’Niel , Farley and her cat Carmen as well as her partner Julian.
Her hobbies include dog walks, taking care of her house plants and cacti….which have taken over her home and has a passion for recycling and educating others on it.
