Growing up with dogs and horses, Kirstie always knew she wanted to work with animals. After obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science she completed the Veterinary Technology program at the Nova Scotia Agricultural College and became a Registered Veterinary Technician.
Kirstie has been working as a veterinary technician in HRM since 2006. She has experience in general and emergency medicine, as well as with wildlife medicine. She always enjoys new challenges and furthering her education. Her special interests include anesthesia and pain management as well as internal medicine.
Kirstie and her husband live on a hobby farm with their dogs, horses and cats. In her spare time, she enjoys painting, training and riding her horses, and hiking with her Australian Cattle Dogs.
